USA HOCKEY, AAHA and ONE GOAL Announce ATLANTIC GIRLS HOCKEY DAY on October 23rd, 2010.

USA Hockey and the Atlantic District are working to attract new girls players between the ages of 4 and 10 to a free hockey clinic on Oct 23rd, 2010. If your Association or rink is interested in participating in the event please contact Kevin Erlenbach and/or Nick Slagis

USA Hockey will support the event with target media buys to promote the event. USA HOCKEY will provide each facility with marketing templates for posters and flyers. USA Hockey will also include each facility with in Atlantic Hockey Day promotions with address and event listing. Each facility will be linked from the Atlanticgirlshockeyday.com website created by USA Hockey.

MAWHA will support the effort of each facility through the MAWHA website and with other support as identified by our Member Organizations.

MAWHA Regular Season Game Matrix

This matrix is used to determine how many league games will be played in a division for the upcoming season.

Two MAWHA teams will play each other four times (2 home, 2 away) for a total of 4 league games per team
Three MAWHA teams will play each other four times (2 home, 2 away) for a total of 8 league games per team
Four MAWHA teams will play each other four times (2 home, 2 away) for a total of 12 league games per team
Five MAWHA teams will play each other four times (2 home, 2 away) for a total of 16 league games per team
Six MAWHA teams will play each other three times (home and away arranged between teams) for a total of 15 league games per team
Seven MAWHA teams will play each other three times (home and away arranged between teams) for a total of 18 league games per team or by greater than 50% vote of the organizations at that level may play each other two times (1 home 1 away) for a total of 12 league games per team. The vote is held at the league scheduling meeting in August, the organizations that attend the meeting are considered a quorum for the purposes of this vote.
Eight MAWHA teams will play each other two times (1 home, 1 away) for a total of 14 league games per team
Nine MAWHA teams will play each other two times (1 home, 1 away) for a total of 16 league games per team
Ten MAWHA teams will play each other two times (1 home, 1 away) for a total of 18 league games per team
